Painting and such

Two weeks ago, Jon and Dan went to Home Depot to get some door hinges for the front side of the cross. Unfortunately I was unable to accompany them because I was working with the video with Ahn Khao. But when Dan and Jon attached the latches to the cross they found out that the latches cause the panels to shift upwards causing the panels to not fit properly the way we wanted to, so Jon and Dan decided to shave off parts of the panel to make the latch fit with the cross.
(installing magnetic cabinet door thingys hoping it would give us a clean opening effects to our cross.)

(taking apart parts of the cross so we are able to fix the latch prob)

The past week the cross team have been discussing how to install electronics onto the cross drawing out measurements making sure we have enough room on the cross to fit everything we wanted and to make sure it wasnt too heavy.

Last Thursday the Cross Team received permission to use the spraybooth in the workshop. So we were able to begin put a coat of primer and a layer of red on the panels. Unfortunately we were unable to finish spray paint the cross due to time constraints, the workshop closed at 5 pm that day. So hopefully we will be able to get the spraybooth again!

Second to Last stage of finish building the cross

soo our cross team was recently entered into the semi finals for the red cross and had to present to the red cross committee on Monday in Palo Alto. Only to find out a day later that we got accepted into the finals and our work will be show case into the fashion show? (to my understanding) so now we have to finish up installing the electronics and makes some reenforcements on the cross to make sure it is stable and sturdy. Not to mention painting the cross the colour red. I have taken some photos and will be posting them up shortly.....
